LEGEND AWARD

The LEGEND Award is designed to recognize and support young hockey players, from Mites through High School, who are actively participating in hockey programs throughout Omaha, Fremont, Lincoln, and the surrounding areas.

This award recognizes players of character who embody the five core values of the Legends Hockey League and the LEGEND Award: Sportsmanship, Community, Optimism, Responsibility, and Education.

Award recipients will be selected based on how they demonstrate these values through determination, resilience, coachability, and a desire to learn and grow—both on and off the ice.

To recognize players throughout the different stages of youth hockey, one LEGEND Award will be presented in each of the following age divisions: 8U/10U, 12U, 14U, and High School.

The Legends Hockey League, along with its partners—Liberty First Credit Union, Midlands Auto Repair, Nebraska Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Elite Insurance Services, and Berry's Necessi-Tee's—will select four youth hockey players, with each recipient receiving a $500 LEGEND Award. Award funds will be paid directly to the recipient's parent or guardian.

Applications must be submitted by September 21, 2026. Award recipients will be selected by November 1, 2026.
